Melissa Marquais with The Kindness Objective, also known as TKO, said the they are an anti-bullying organization that focuses on promoting kindness and compassion instead of the negative aspects of bullying.
Santa Claus stopped by, and there was Christmas music, food and fun as children walked through the halls of the veteran’s home singing Christmas carols to the residents.
Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and First Lady Cindy Pitts were also on hand with the mayor meeting with and signing certificates of recognition for youngsters who were part of the “send a letter to a soldier for the holidays” program of TKO.
"We want to get kids to sign up and be part of our organization and go whether it be to an animal shelter and help, or a nursing home to help. We really want to give kids an opportunity to get out and feel the joy of being able to give to other people,” said Marquais.
